Leavenworth Summer Theater produces memorable evenings of musical theater out under the stars here in the Cascades. But those evenings each summer are just the tip of the iceberg of why LST is so special and valuable to the community.
LST is an arts organization that deeply invests in our local community. With an emphasis on creating opportunities for Pacific Northwest kids and adults alike, we have seen multiple generations of Chelan County residents on our stages over the last 30 years. The company is truly a village that comes together every summer, with over 100 community members mobilizing as performers, technicians, and volunteers - amazing experiences that would not be possible without LST. And that is just half of the story!
The other side of the coin is that the final product, our summer shows, give back to the community that supports us. In addition to the delightful entertainment, LST is a major economic engine for Chelan County, bringing over 20,000 patrons to the unforgettable venues around Leavenworth each summer - patrons who eat at restaurants, stay at hotels or bed & breakfasts, and shop downtown.
That is why the performing arts are so vital and important to central Washington - they enrich the individual lives of the people who live here and then provide a major economic boost to the region as well. And LST cannot do it without your support.
